Manage uploads on Amazon S3

Question

Is there a way to control the number of digital content downloads on Amazon S3 or through some kind of middle person software that talks to S3? I already use my synchronized links, but I would also like to control the number of downloads. Any ideas on how to do this using S3 or alternative service offers? Thanks!

• fetchapp is another service that is very nice ... they actually use S3 internally ..

you can easily collapse your own proxy for download using a script ...
