How to collapse a string in RDLC and not just hide it?

I have an RDLC report showing a table. A specific row in this table should not appear under certain conditions. I was able to set the Hidden property to false using an expression if these conditions apply.

The problem is that, although hidden, the row still takes place in the table, that is, it is not flushed.

How can I minimize it and not just hide it?

I am using RDLC with the 2010 SP1 Report Viewer

Check out this solution.

set hidden property to True or False

= (Fields!UserName.Value.ToString() = "")

Also check for example expressions.

Hope this answer helps you.

Despite the fact that their solution works, the "Hidden" property still forces us to take up the gap. There is no big deal if this is the last line, but when it is between the lines, this can be a big problem. And Can Shrink doesn't help either. The solution for folding a line is to right-click on the row header and select Row Visibility ..., then enter an expression that evaluates to true or false.

Make sure CanShrink is set to true.
