Let MySQL run for 72 hours (without restarting), then load and run MySQL Tuner: (as root)
cd ~/ wget http://www.mysqltuner.pl/ -O ./mysqltuner.pl chmod +x ./mysqltuner.pl ./mysqltuner.pl
This will give you an idea of ββwhat settings you can make to improve performance based on your actual use and needs. After you make the changes, you will want to restart MySQL and then give it another 48-72 hours before starting the tuner again to find out if there is any kind of fine tuning that you can do.
