Heroku Slug Size Shot Suddenly

Locally, my application is 7 MB without tests and logs, etc. The .git folder is 29 MB. I also do not have any gems / plugins in the vendor folder. 95% of the images are hosted on S3. However, making a capture in Geroku, it shows -----> Compiled mucus size 62.7MB

What's wrong? This happened?

To add additional context, my .gitignore file: .bundle, db / .sqlite3, config / database.yml, log / .log, tmp / ,. idea, .redcar, .sass-cache /, multi_xml /, test /, doc /

I ask for advice

The compiled bullet size includes all of your gems. If you are on a cedar stack, they made some mistakes that will make your gems with native extensions even bigger than they should be.

Moved to Cedar and then cleaned up public / assets every time, after recompiling. Reduced mucus size dramatically.

Look for the presence of the .slugignore file in the root folder. He tells Heroku that the files are not going to the pool. Checkout this answer . Update the application if the reduction in slugsize is not instantaneous.
