How can I troubleshoot pending requests that fail?

I started Delayed Job with the following command:

script / delayed_job -n 4 start

Then at the end of the day I will check how many processes I have left, and maybe two. Or zero.

I cannot understand what makes procs die. The magazines are huge, I don’t understand how I can use them to figure this out. Is there something I can do to fix the delay in this way?

Some starting points to consider:

  • wrap your calls in the rescue unit and send an email when something works.
  • create in the exit handler to find out if the program completed normally.
  • use some kind of processing monitor to see when your processes finish. Perhaps something like god , although I am not familiar with him.

Hope this is a good start, good luck with that.
