How to hide php source code?

I have a php page containing keys and salts, and I would like to hide such information just in case. Does anyone know a good free software that can do this?

I have both zend and ion installed on my server and I heard some scramblers use it. Any ideas?

Your PHP source cannot be viewed directly through the browser. You can obfuscate php files on the server for extra protection. Obfuscation makes it more difficult for an attacker to understand your code if it ends up getting into it. Remember to keep an un-obfuscated backup of your files.
