Is there a way to limit .jnlp files. Can a web launch be downloaded to a well-known set of URLs?

The company’s policy prohibits users from installing any software, and Java Web Start has been flagged because it allows users to “install” and run applications through .jnlp files.

Install a firewall, and then you (or the administrator) can restrict all URLs ending in jnlp and allow only a limited set.
