Actions are not displayed on the timeline.

I am developing an application that publishes actions on a timeline.

In the settings of the application, I created the action "message" and use the built-in type of the object "article".

Although my actions with graphics were not approved by facebook, this should not be a problem because I am registered as an application developer.

My page urls pass facebook linter with warnings, but no errors.

When my application notifies facebook of this post, it seems to be successful. Facebook returns an identifier representing the action.

When I use facebook graph explorer to view this identifier, the data seems to be correct, showing the correct type of action and object data. (If there is a URL to view the action on facebook and not in the graph explorer, I don't know what it is).

However, despite the fact that all of the above works without errors, I never see the action on my timeline . Regardless of whether I view my own timeline or when you log in as a friend and another application developer, I never see any indication on facebook.com that the action was completed.

What am I missing for my user actions to appear on my timeline page?

I had a similar problem. I used OG and I could post everything successfully, but the messages did not appear on the timeline, but only in the activity log on Facebook.

I just went to the action settings and set โ€œ Explicitly divided: this action can indicate to the user an explicitly joint action. โ€ To ON .

Then, in my part of the code, I put " true " in the key " fb: explicitly_shared " when creating the OG object.

If the error does not return, it sounds as if there is a problem on your public page that prevents Facebook from knowing what to post.

You double checked your OG: meta tags through the Facebook verification tool ( https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug ]. Although you need all the values โ€‹โ€‹you need to fill in, the type bit is most overlooked and must be correctly configured for communication with your specific application and corresponding action.

If your OG: data is correct and verified, you should also check the part settings for your actions and aggregations. If the phrase / time bit is not populated on Facebook, it may not be clear how to make your message appear on the timeline.

Open the problem ...

My article page includes an article tag: author. The URL in this tag was not visible to anonymous users. So, I guess facebook visited this author url and got HTTP 403.

When I removed the article tag: author, the elements began to appear on my timeline.

So be careful with all the tags and put all the urls through the facebook debugging tool.

Hmmm interesting

Had the same problem ...

Using XFBML, fb: as with all the necessary og meta tags checking for linter.

Last month, when I liked the โ€œproductโ€ on my website, a message was posted on my fb timeline, without worrying. Great, great! Today, after clicking "I", I noticed that he did not publish my wall on the timeline ... but was registered in Feed Feed. However, he posted my wall if I commented on the โ€œLike Buttonโ€ comment section.

Then I found this "Pages like an article do not have publishing rights and do not appear in user profiles because they are not objects of the real world."

I get the same problem with feed dialog message. Posts can be moved directly, but not displayed on the timeline. More details here: Actions that do not appear on the timeline

I had a similar problem, but everything actually worked correctly. If you get a return identifier and your article appears in your RECENT ACTIVITY, then everything should be fine.

The perceived problem, your post not appearing on your timeline is actually the right behavior. Your message does not appear on your timeline, because it should appear on your friends timeline as an activity you performed. As soon as they comment or like it, it should appear on your timeline.

For me, the problem was that messages did not appear on the timeline for all users except me, and it was publicly available !, I fixed it by turning on the application as online to be accessible to all users.
