How to set up a working server environment for a Scala Lift web application?

I need to set up a production server to host some Scala Lift web services and applications, but I have never worked on JavaEE / servlet technologies. Could you point to the Scala / Lift-specific HOWTO when setting up the production server or, if you are not aware of such a publication, explain it in a more or less simple way?

Lifting is done on any regular servlet container; therefore there is nothing special that you need to do when creating your environment. In doing so, Chapter 15, Lifting Up in Action, should help you more generally accept the Lift application for deployment.

Hope this helps.

Not sure what you are asking about this, but you can configure the server using Debian Lenny to serve the Lift application using this link in the wiki elevator, with the Jetty container and PostgreSQL database. Typically, the configuration depends on the requirements of your application (which database, etc.), so ultimately you will need additional information about what you need to configure for this environment. In addition to reinforcing what Tim Perre said, chapter 15 in his book is really good, details the servlet container for selection and deployment methods, tools, and options.
