Since compilation mostly reads small files, I wonder if itβs worth buying a quick usb key to work, it can speed up compilation time compared to the standard SATA drive and at a lower price than an SSD drive (16Gb keys are <$ 30).
I'm right?
PS: I work with .Net, VS and all MS tools, but I think this is true for all languages ββ...
[Edit] According to the Toms hardware, the latest hdd for reading data is about 14ms , where the slowest USB dongle is 1.5ms
That's why I wonder if my hypothesis is correct.
