Windows Store apps instructions in editors

Most of the demos and webcasts that present and explain the Windows Store app relate to apps that consume content. Are there any recommendations for creating editor apps?

Question: I have:

  • Can I take the metro route here?
  • What to do with tools such as toolbars (think formatting, etc.) since the application bar is not so big and you should not include toolbars.

It depends on how complex the editor application you have in mind.

I think that any heavy-weight applications are intended only for desktop computers, not for the metro. For example, the Office suite will be launched in “Desktop” mode even on a mobile device according to Stephen Sinofsky : “Inside the Windows desktop, WOA includes desktop versions of the new Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, code-named“ Office 15. ”Here WOA refers to Windows On ARM; Windows 8 will be configured on mobile touch devices based on the ARM architecture.

In addition, according to this article , you can only use Metro mode applications for ARM; only MS can distribute desktop applications.

However, you can still write simple and lightweight applications, such as a simple photo editor or notepad, I think. In fact, Google’s search turned the commercial imaging library into Metro mode.
