Is there a way to embed a terminal window in TextMate?

I would like to be able to split the TextMate window into two, with a regular editor in one half of the window and with a terminal in the other half. Something like this layout in Notepad ++ (on Windows).

I searched for how to do this for 2 hours and haven't found it yet.
