Cabal installation fails when installing pango

Kabbalah does not work when trying to install pango, complaining that it cannot find pkg-config.

This mistake was a bit confusing.

This suggests that you need to install the pango package without maintenance.

I did this using brew install pango and solved this problem.

For ubuntu see http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Gtk2Hs/Linux which gives

sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev libpango1.0-dev libglib2.0-dev libcairo2-dev
