You can do this with a new search (announced at http://blog.asana.com/2013/04/asana-search-views/#more-1188 )

• Click the drop-down button in the search field.
• Find "Assigned to Nobody ; In No Project Projects" (both fields will be autocompleted with "No")
• Click "Search", see your results, rejoice!
