How to detect if registry key has C # error

I saw a lot of software that show that there is an error in the registry. I just want to know what exactly they are looking for? I mean, I know how to get the value of a registry key, but how can I decide if this value is correct or not?

CCleaner lists these elements as functions for cleaning them:

Additional features for removing unused and old entries, including file extensions, ActiveX controls, ClassID, ProgID, Uninstallers, Shared DLLs, fonts, help files, application paths, icons, incorrect shortcuts, and much more ...

You can find these bottlenecks by reading the manual.
