Why does IIS 7.5 recompile the entire site after a reboot?

This morning, after Windows Updates started and rebooted a couple of web servers, I noticed that one of the sites working there did not respond. After some digging, I noticed 100,000 read / write / delete operations in the temp files asp.net folder. Can we do anything to avoid this?

You can soften it a bit with precompilation:

How to prevent IIS from compiling a website?

but IIS thought something had changed and needed to be recompiled. Have patches been fixed for infrastructure components?

Can you consider deploying your website as a pre-compiled web application instead of a website if this is appropriate for your situation?
