Is there any way to do this?
My previous VB6 add-in uses a third-party component (probably C ++) to create some interface improvements. It works fine in Outlook 2000-2007, but with an error in 2010 due to DEP - and most likely the way my skinning component accesses memory.
If I disable DEP globally in Outlook (through the Trust Center), it works fine, but it is not a viable solution for my client.
I tried adding my DLL to the Opt-Out DEP list under System Properties> Performance> DEP , but it did not seem to have any effect. Also, the "skinning" DLL, the virtual machine MS VB6 on which it is running, or even Outlook.EXE was not added to the list.
If someone can point me in the right direction, repeat: disconnecting JUST my add-in from DEP, I would be very grateful.
