TortoiseSVN - Ignoring Files and Folders

Just started testing TortoiseSVN.

Taken measures:

  • Created folder [project name] Repo.
  • Open [project name] Repo in Repo-Browser.
  • Went to the project folder in Windows.
  • Right-click on a file to ignore it.
    • Selected TortoiseSVN from the menu.
    • There is no ignore option.
  • Tried other files / folders. Same.

Parameters in the menu, when opening Repo-Browser and clicking [project] .csproj:

  • Repo Browsers
  • Settings
  • ABOUT

If you select "SVN Commit" in the menu, select a file / folder in which you can ignore.

Otherwise, you can select "TortoiseSVN> Properties" and manually add the entry "SVN: ignore" there.

Note. You cannot ignore the file after committing it. You must expand it and then ignore it.
