Does anyone know if RabbitMQ supports unix socket connection instead of TCP? I ask about this because all my manufacturers and consumers are on the same machine.

This is currently not possible - RabbitMQ only allows TCP connections [0]. If you really need to use unix sockets, I think redis allows it through a unix socket.
