Loading image from Android database into MySQL

Good afternoon! I am trying to find a basic tutorial on uploading an image file from Android to an online MySQL database, but I cannot find it.

Now I'm doing an activity that can upload a user profile picture from Android to an online server.

I need how to show the button, and when she clicked, the user can select an image from the files. Can someone help me with this? Thank you in advance!

Use the following code to extract an image from ImageGallery:

 Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_PICK, android.provider.MediaStore.Images.Media.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI); startActivityForResult(i, ACTIVITY_SELECT_IMAGE);

It will launch ImageGallery, now you can select the image, and in onActivityResult you can decode the image into a bitmap, as described in the link: here :

Then you need to upload this bitmap to the server. You can use the Haresh solution for this.
