Collapsing new Jelly Bean Default Notifications

When you use the new Jelly Bean Notification.Styles , such as BigPictureStyle , when you open the notification panel, Notification is decrypted by default. According to the docs regarding bigContentView , they declare:

The system user interface may choose to show this instead of simply viewing the content as it sees fit.

... keywords at your discretion . I am looking for a way to collapse Notification by default when I open the notification panel. The Notification class does not currently provide a method or flag to call. I considered copying the Notification source into my application and making a few changes or inflating my own RemoteViews and overriding the deafult bigContentView , but given the system’s user interface, it’s the judge when to expand and collapse Notification , these ideas do not seem reasonable.

Does anyone have any tips or knowledge on keeping the new Jelly Bean Notifications default when opening the notification panel and letting the user decide when to expand them?
