SO I have been using trial plug for 3 months to check if I want to use Microsoft Azure to host the project I'm working on, however I was very confused as I ended up with “Geo Redundant Storage” in the first month and I really don't understand why.
I read the following: https://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/pricing/details/ , and the only thing I can do is that on average the storage that you use for a month is required, for example, for now I use less than 35 GB (for a 35 GB limit) on average per storage location. I am in a clear form.
So, in the “STORAGE” (GB / MONTH) “POLLUTION LASER” (YEAR / MONTH) section of “GEO REDUNDANT” it says: “101.027% of 35 GB / month” (so I reached my heading).
But I don’t understand why this is happening, all I have is a simple server with a nodejs web application and a redis database (currently pretty empty), everything works on an ubuntu virtual machine and I can not log in and check the repository Now, because it is disabled, but I’m sure that it’s not even anywhere near about 35 GB of shared storage and has never been?
I hope someone can explain how the azure vault is charging or if I missed something stupid?
Edit: It just struck me that it could be redis doing crazy things with IO? not sure if this is possible, but if so, would I rather use locally redundant storage and pay for locally redundant storage transactions?
Edit 2: My graph says that I used 1.96gb / day. So this means that this is not the total hard drive space per month, is it the hard drive / day? (using 2gbs of data probably sounds correct with the OS turned on, if so, does that mean that they give you less than 2 GB of space in the trial phase, seems like a minute?)
