Change ringtone settings on Android using Phonegap

I am considering PhoneGap for my first Android project, because before I had a lot of experience with HTML5. But before I begin to delve into the telephone interchange, I want to make sure that the phone has all the functions that I need for the project.

My application should be able to change the ringtone settings (volume and vibration settings) of the device. So, I wanted to know if this is possible using PhoneGap.

I looked through the PhoneGap documentation and found nothing. I even tried asking this question in my google group, but I thought that asking a question here in a stack overflow would be much faster.

And if this is not possible with PhoneGap ... are there any workarounds?

You will need to write your own plugin for this - Cordoba does not do this out of the box because it is quite platform specific.

Take a look at the following link to find out how to change your ringtone: Customize your ringtone in Android .

Then you will need to convert this to a plugin (which should not be too complicated). There are many examples: http://plugins.cordova.io/ which you can download and check).

Hope this helps!
