Email from Google App Engine is sent to the SPAM folder even after the DKIM procedure

In another message , I was wondering if anyone has any email messages from the Google App Engine in the Hotmail spam folder.

Thanks to the help of the community, I was able to find a way to solve the problem. I left the original post as it solves the problem for a set of email systems (e.g. free.fr).

However, the fix, unfortunately, was partial and remains a problem with hotmail. As soon as this problem is resolved, I update the initial record.

Below you will find a message that falls into the Hotmail spam folder.

What looks strange to me is this:

  • Yesterday I did tests in which the letter was "dkim = pass". Today, other tests have "dkim = temperror". Although I had "dkim = pass" yesterday, the messages ended up in the spam folder
  • Today I have "dkim = temperror" and I do not understand what this means.

Does anyone have any ideas? It is becoming increasingly difficult to understand why it works on all mail systems except hotmail.

Thanks,

Gyug

I'm not sure about the DKIM temperror, but take a look at step 3. "Set up the SenderID record" http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2010/04/so-youd-like-to-send-some-email-through- code.html . I think that hotmail in particular uses SenderID, which can cause spam in your mail.

Also see http://mailchimp.com/about/authentication/ , which shows a breakdown of which mail servers use each type of authentication.

Good luck Rob

Edit:

If you still have problems sending mail to junkmail in Hotmail, check out this Microsoft resource . The resource provides a set of services to help you find out why your mail is being sent as spam, and tools to help you stop sending emails.
