I am writing an iOS application that plays music while the user takes pictures with the camera using the UIImagePickerController . However, if the user wants to increase the volume, pressing the volume buttons causes a photograph to be taken instead. I guess this is because Apple is reusing the volume buttons for the shutter buttons when the image selector is displayed.
Is there a way to turn off the volume button shutter in my application so that the volume buttons control the volume even if the camera screen is displayed?
