All other current versions of browsers have some form of developer tools and are attached to the main browser window or can be “docked” with it. At least this is true in Windows 7 for Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari.
But for Internet Explorer 9, developer tools are always in a separate window.
There is a pin icon / button in ie9 devtools window, but for me it does nothing.
This extra window makes things really confusing on the small netbook screen when comparing the behavior of all browsers.
Should the pin button do what I want? Is there any other way to do this? All other browser developer tools are quite suitable for use on a small netbook.
