Copy the shortcut to the device to take a screenshot.

How can I take a photo of the current contents of the screen, no matter what content it may be?

Is there a shortcut to the hardware buttons for this?

Something like an iPhone: Power + Home

Powerkey + Homekey press together, this will take a screenshot of your current display.

Note. It works for most devices that will not work for everyone.

Just hold down the Volume Down and Strength button for a second . a source

You will see a flash, and the screen will be framed, which shows a screenshot (Ive tried to capture a screenshot of this screen, but it's quite complicated, and I'm not lucky!). The screenshot will be saved in the /Pictures/Screenshots folder on the phone’s internal SD card.

You will also receive a new notification in the notification panel with the inscription "Saving a screenshot ...", and after its completion, a "Screenshot" will appear. a notification in the drop-down menu that will lead you directly to the screenshot in the gallery.

All ICS devices have this feature. The standard Power+Volume Down method, some phones, including many Samsung devices, use Power+Home .

In both screenshots, navigate to: Environment.getExternalStoragePublicDirectory(Environment.DIRECTORY_PICTURES) + "/Screenshots"

In some way, the path is still Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory() + '/DCIM/Screenshots'

Prior to ICS, some manufacturers introduced this feature with various keyboard shortcuts and a destination directory where screenshots are taken.
