Best Indy for Dephi 2007

What is better to use the default indy10 that ships with Delphi 2007 or upgrade it to the latest snapshot and why?

Always stay tuned for the latest version. It contains bug fixes. If you report a problem with the stock version shipped with Delphi, the first tip you get is to upgrade to the latest version because your error is probably already fixed.

Do not always keep up with the latest version. Download the latest version now and run your project. Then keep up until you have a good reason or enough time to double-check all the functionality. Otherwise, you depend on the provider and trust him that he will never break the existing code in his bug fixes or new features. I have too much trust for me. Of course, you should check out new versions from time to time and decide whether to update them.

Oh no, this is not for beginners. For exapmle, August 21, 2010 I uploaded the latest Indy 10.5.7 snapshot and it doesn’t work with cookies at all! Yes, I found the error and fixed it, but you must understand that you can lose a significant part of the functionality using snapshots in active development. So, I have been using Indy for many years and have many patches in my projects folder. Each update is a headache! Sorry, Remy Lebo, but it's true.
