How to vertically align text inside td and range?

Here is what I have, the only CSS is the style for my tags, so there is no corresponding CSS for this.

<tr> <td colspan="2" valign="top"><span style="font-size:20px; color:#ed8f49">Fall Classes with</span><img src="REDACTED.png" height="90" width="482"></td> </tr>

When I have only an AP, everything works fine, but as soon as I put this text in the gap or try to make it h1, it is aligned to the bottom, even if I add alignment attributes to the range.

You need align="top" or style="vertical-align:top in your image :)

Try:

 <td colspan="2" style="vertical-align: top;">

The valign attribute valign deprecated and should not be used.
