Libreoffice Calc: Custom x-axis label

I am trying to create a chart in Libreoffice calc where the x-axis labels should be spaced and the y-axis labels should be displayed as a percentage.

My table looks like this:

0-40 100% 40-70 96% 70-100 92% 100-130 84% >130 63%

Unfortunately, the Y-axis labels are shown correctly, but the x-axis labels look like this, instead of labeling them at given intervals:

 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

If the chart starts with x = 1 and ends with x = 6.

I did not find a way to make the calc label the specified x axis, nor did I find any help on the Internet. Probably someone knows?

Edit the Data Series for your chart and let the categories indicate the fields in the table that contain labels.

  • In edit mode for your chart (just double-click it if not), right-click and select Data Ranges ....
  • Select the Data Series tab.
  • For each of the data series, make sure they point to the same fields containing your labels.

Ok, that worked for me:

When you enter paste object -> graph ,

select XY Scatter and NOT Line Graph.

XY Scatter will automatically place your first column as your x axis.

With XY Scatter there is an option to enter a data range called the "x axis" .

There will be no line graph, and it is not possible to create a data range called the "x axis" .
