How to compile Android AOSP for x86

I have seen that for Android there are images of emulators that can run on x86 virtual machines. I would like to create my own x86 image for Android from the source, but I cannot find instructions on the Internet. Is it currently possible to create a custom x86-ROM? (not sure if "ROM" is a suitable term for x86 systems, no matter what)

Yes, it is possible, but you still need a Linux machine to compile it (without any problems).

There is a lot of information about porting android to the X86 platform on the network. I suggest you start with this: Android-x86 - Porting Android to x86 .

You can also watch XDA forun . They do a great job of porting ROMs.

Sincerely.
