SaaS Address Admin URL

Background

I work for SaaS, where you get a site when you register.

If url is saas.com, this could be a list of customers:

abc.saas.com mysite.saas.com so.saas.com

Currently, each of our clients must go to / admin in order to go to their admin panel.

 abc.saas.com/admin mysite.saas.com/admin so.saas.com/admin

The fact is, services like Clicktale, which track users by recording them, limit the number of subdomains that you can track. If you want more subdomains, you have to pay more.

In this regard, we analyze the possibility of switching to admin.saas.com as a single subdomain for all admin panels.

What are the pros and cons of having multiple / admin subdomains in a separate admin subdomain?

Pros of having one domain (admin.saas.com):

  • Users with more subscribers can manage subdomains much easier (they don’t need to go to another URL).
  • Your documentation and videos will be easier to understand at a specific address. Links with placeholders such as {yourdomain} .saas.com / admin make customers think.
  • Firewall Rules Can Be Simplified In Complex Architecture

We had to make the same decision when developing our SaaS / PaaS product several months ago, and we are pleased with this implementation. According to your scenario, I do not see any flaws.
