Removing text in the HTML mail program for Gmail and Yahoo

I created HTML email programs before, but I just can't figure out how to remove text design from a link using the built-in styles for Gmail / Yahoo clients. I get the link colors the way I want them, but gmail inserts this ugly blue line under each link. I tried

<a href="link" target="_blank" style="color:red;text-decoration:none">link</a>

and

 <a href="link" target="_blank" style="color:red;text-decoration:none"><span style="text-decoration:none">link</span></a>

I use F12 tools to check email, and inline styles are completely reset by the email client and are not displayed. I have a very simple template without any overriding properties - will I miss something I need for Gmail?

Your code seems to be correct, I suspect that it is in fact the client to whom you send emails that deprive the code.

Outlook 2013, for example, will remove text-decoration:none from the anchor tags when sending HTML emails. Try sending your letters from an alternative client and see if you have problems with tags that have been deleted.

Try using a real color code. Not sure if closing semicolon also matters ... This always works for me (at least in Gmail)

 <a href="" style="color: #770000; text-decoration: none;">click here</a>

On the one hand, Gmail, as you know, interrupts #FFFFFF and # 000000 (pure black or white). In this case, I use # FFFFF9 and # 000001 instead.

Try the following:

 <a href="link" target="_blank" style="text-decoration:none;"> <span style="color:red;">link</span> </a>
