I am working on an Android application as part of Cordoba 2.2.0, and I am having big problems processing clicks that work with GPT-based ads. (Of course, I'm not the first person to try this.)
GPT provides friendly IFRAMES with an ad that mainly contains <a href="http://www.example.com/clickthrough/yadayadayada" target="_blank">(ad creative)</a>
In the browser and on iOS, clicking on the ad will open a click in a new browser window, which I want to do here. But in the native application on both my Kindle Fire HD and Droid 4, clicking on the ad opens the click page in the IFRAME space, so you get the top left 320x50 of the page displayed on my other page.
I tried editing the whitelist, but this is not an option, because the ad can appear from anywhere (we use several ad networks to fill our remaining ads), and because the ad is displayed in IFRAME, which I canโt control, I couldnโt wrap it HREF in javascript:window.open() , and I did not find a way to intercept Android Java code by intercepting these clicks.
I also studied AdMob, but my boss does not want to change the advertising experience on our mobile website, which contains from one to three advertising scrolls with a page.
EDIT Ability to display AdMob ads on the page where the ads are placed, so that scrolling from the website will work.
What can I do to open these clicks in a new window?
Thank you for your help.
