Install Windows Phone SDK for VS 2012

I use Windows 7 and installed a professional VS 2012. Earlier I installed Windows Phone 7 sdk. Worked fine in VS2010.

When I try to create a WP7 project in VS 2012, I do not see this option. I tried to download and reinstall the WP7 SDK, but I was asked to restore / reinstall the existing installation, which should mean that it is already there? Is there a trick I'm missing to get the WP project project coming up in VS 2012?

VS 2012 only supports the SDK for Windows Phone 8.

You can create a Windows Phone 7.1 application using the Windows Phone 8 SDK on top of VS 2012. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudio/archive/2012/10/30/introducing-windows-phone-sdk-8-0 .aspx
