Set up custom zoom levels on Google Maps

I use google maps api and liken it to get the scale halfway between the two settings. Is this possible, and how can I do this?

Although Mapview works internally with continuously changing zoom levels (you can see this because getProjection () aligns with intermediate zoom levels in the zoom animation), the API only provides access to select entire zoom levels.
