X86 Windows 8 Tablet running Pro cannot access integrated cameras with Emgu OpenCV

I can not get Emgu CV to work with cameras on new tablets based on Windows 8 x86. These are not ARM-based tablets running Windows 8 RT, and they run full-blown Windows 8 Pro x86 on Atom x86 processors. I tried the working code on the release version of Samsung XE500T1C (Ativ?) And in the preliminary version of the HP ElitePad 900.

Emgu CV tells me: "Error: Unable to capture from camera 0". The problem is probably due to the fact that the new Atom chipset handles some camera features. I added a screenshot of the device manager with offensive cameras highlighted.

Under Imaging devices we have:
Intel (R) 2300 Image Processing Signal Processor

In the section "System devices" there is:
OV2720 Camera Sensor
OV8830 Camera Sensor
Flash LM3554

Samsung XE500T1C Running Windows 8 Pro 32-bit

I searched internets high and low and did not find anything useful. I contacted HP and they turn to their engineering. I tried Intel, and the best I got was the following: http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/sample-windows-store-app-for-camera-picture-taking , which is actually Designed for Windows Store apps. Although it works.

Does anyone have any ideas? Needless to say, I got involved. Another thing Emgu CV works great on my Samsung Slate Series 7, which is running Windows 8 Pro. It also works great on 32-bit Windows 8 Pro VM. It looks like these are new with the new Atoms with an Intel Imaging Signal 2300 signal processor.

Thanks everyone!

Hal

I brought Emgu back to 2.1.1 since December 2010. This seems to work just fine with the new Intel Clover Trail Atoms.

FYI: I also tried version 2.4.9 of Alpha from 2013-01-14, but that didn't work.
