Adding a new web service under 4.5

file -> new -> website -> empty asp.net website (in .net framework 4.5) ->

right-click the website name in the solution explorer → add a new element →

cannot find web service .

when you do the same on a website that was created under framework 4.0 , I find a web service .

how did it happen? can someone explain this to me?

Step 1:

Add Empty Web Project Using .Net4.5

Step 2:
Then right click on your project and Add New Item . Then select the template type Web-> WebService
