Cancel or turn off Kate's space bar character

I am using Kate Text Editor for Linux Mint 14. I was wondering if there is any way to remove the space?

I mean, where there is an indentation for tabs, there is a >> character that doesn’t look very good when editing and is even quite confusing (see. Screenshot). Is there any way to remove it?

I could not find any option related to this in the configurations and settings.

I have an option for this in Kate version 3.6.5:

Go to: Settings - Configure Kate - Editor component - Appearance and disable Highlight tabulators
