Is it possible to use the Eclipse IDE and GAE plugin to develop and deploy Scala applications with PlayFramework v2.0? There is also some legacy GAE module for PlayFramework v1.0. Any instructions or links? Or can it be deployed manually (e.g. https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/tools/uploadinganapp )?

There seems to be no solution for running Playframework 2.0 applications on GAE for the time I'm writing. Needless to say, any tools do not work either.

Have you watched ScalaGWT ? It works quite well and can be easily debugged in Eclipse as well. GitHub also has some samples.

I suppose yes, create a playback application using the playback console , add gae support by adding the gae module to it, and then eclipsify . At the time of this writing, I assume that you have already completed the game v1.0 docs. If I do not suggest going through playframework.org first.
