This was in the past, in particular, Delphi XE help questions: Can I use Indy 10.5.8.0 in Delphi XE and DataSnap? and Is it possible to recompile DataSnap packages in Delphi XE with a new / different version of Indy?
I remember that I saw something that was achieved with this problem. Now I am using Delphi XE3 and want to get back to this problem. Now you can remove the version of Indy that comes with XE3 and upgrade it to the latest version of Indy without messing up the DataSnap or anything else related to Delphi, which has Indy dependencies?
