Google Analytics on Android - filter test device

Is there a way to make my test device not tell me about my Google Analytics when I open the Android app? I know that with AdMob you can add test devices and these devices will load dummy ads. Is there something similar for Google Analytics on Android?

You can put the analytics client in debug mode so that it does not send any data. (If you use v2: see White papers, if you use v1: see the Test section of this review ).

Alternatively, on the server side, you can filter GA filters based on domain or IP. See http://support.google.com/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1033162

I know that he already answered, but IMHO, that the answer is incorrect.

According to: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/android/v2/advanced#opt-out setting the client in demo mode will not stop sending data, it will just add debug information to LogCat, Instead of this you can use setAppOptOut () described in the same link.
