Jenkins SCM Mercury Poll excludes files or other filter

My Jenkins polled Mercurial SCM for changes. Now we have configured the assembly for the tag, commit and debug new changes (updated version, new tag).

This causes an endless loop. Due to the commit and tag, Jenkins sees this as a new change and launches a new build ....

Can a .hgtags file be excluded? or exclude based on user or message?

Take a look at this issue . It seems that clicking only tags at the moment is not a problem. But your work gives an additional fixation, I can’t understand how to prevent Jenkins from working.

Have you seen the Pathignore plugin ?

This plugin allows SCM-triggered jobs to ignore build requests if only certain paths have changed

Just to share my current solution.

I installed the ScriptTrigger plugin https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/ScriptTrigger+Plugin

I wrote a script to verify that the latest version was NOT created by jenkins and starts a new build, if so.
