How to set the background of the animation application (Live wallpaper?)

I have a simple Android application and want to customize an animated background. How can i do this?

• Do I need to create live wallpapers, install them on my phone, and then use them in my application? If so, how can I use it in my application?
• Can I set live wallpapers or any other animated background in my project? That is, without requiring a separate application? If so, how to do it?

In short, I would like the background of my application to be animated, no matter how it is done (live wallpapers, gifs, videos, whatever ...)
