What is the typical “Cost per Million Requests” for a typical Google AppEngine content application? (e.g. CMS, forum, etc.)

We have an application that has an average of 30 QPS (requests per second) and our costs are about $ 1 per hour, which gives an approximate amount of our GAE expenses: $ 1 per million requests .

About half of these requests are intended for serving content (for real clients and search engine bots), and the other half are deferred tasks that update entities, reset the cache, pre-generate some HTML, etc. We no longer use servers (we did, but it was too difficult to synchronize during the deployments and moved everything in the task queue and did not look back).

Just wondering how it compares with others? Normal? Too much? Very good?

I ask before we have a new member of our team who cares that our costs are too high and we need to go to our own standalone server (s).

New to StackOverflow and not sure if I should / should disclose the name of the website in question (I would be happy to provide, if allowed).
