IOS Store Review Guidelines: Can I use the iTunes Search API in my application?

My application using the iTunes Search API has been rejected due to a violation of the review guidelines (12.1). I would like to know if the iTunes Search API is not available for use in iOS applications or not.

If some applications that use the API are approved, I will try to reapply it. Any help would be appreciated.

Apple approval guidelines are this.

12.1 Applications that clear any information from Apple sites (for example, from apple.com, iTunes Store, application store, iTunes Connect, Apple Developer Programs, etc.) Or create ratings using Apple content sites and services will be rejected https : //developer.apple.com/appstore/resources/approval/guidelines.html#scraping-aggregation

I think you need to be part of the iTunes affiliate program to use the preview. The first sentence of the Legal section of the search API reads:

Affiliates may use certain advertising content that may be provided by Apple, including previews of songs and music videos, album art, and app icons

And on the Affiliate Program page:

Affiliate Tools: Many advanced tools are available to help tech savvy partners create links to the iTunes, App Store, and Mac App Store. These include the Search API, an enterprise affiliate feed that provides an enhanced feed for the entire store, and a Web iMix tool that you can use to create a dynamic playlist.

It remains unclear ... but I would not risk it, I join affiliates! In addition, you can make a profit if your application leads to a purchase. Apple Affiliate Program

Taken directly from the legal section of the iTunes API page:

Developers may use certain advertising content that may be provided by Apple, including previews of songs and music videos, album art, and app icons ("Promo Content") to promote the subject of Promo Content; provided that such Promotional Content: (i) is placed only on pages that advertise the content on which the promotional content is based; (ii) located near the “Download to iTunes”, “Download from the App Store” or “Download to iBooks Store” (Apple-approved) icon, which acts as a link directly to pages on iTunes or the App Store where users can purchase advertised content ; (iii) includes an attribution indicating that the Promo Content has been “provided by iTunes” if such Promo Content includes previews of songs or music videos; (iv) is broadcast only, but not downloaded, saved, cached or synchronized with the video, if such Promo content includes previews of songs or music videos; (v) is not used for independent entertainment value other than its advertising purpose; and (vi) is not used to promote any other goods or services. The developer acknowledges that Apple provides the Promo Content “as is” and disclaims any representations or warranties, including but not limited to non-compliance. The developer must forward any claims received in connection with the Promo Content to Apple immediately upon receipt, and will immediately remove the advertising content upon request from Apple.
