Sometimes file upload doesn't work on IE9

I use valums ajax-upload along with the ashx handler so that users can upload files to webapp Im. Everything works absolutely fine, about 95% (about 3000) of users.

Over the past about 5%, I get reports that the download never ends, the wheel just holds on, people say. It seems that those who get this error all use IE9.0.

I tested all IE9.0 that I came across, but still could not reproduce the error. I also tried to log all conceivable errors, but still no luck.

Please, can someone reproduce the problem and hopefully give me a JavaScript console error script, if any. To verify, go to step 2 (section "Download") and try downloading a small text file:

UPDATE

I was in contact with a user who experienced this problem. The error message can be seen here. It is in Danish and says: "SCRIPT5 Access denied".

Error message enter image description here

It is strange that the user had the same version of IE as for others (I for example): I tested: 9.0.8112.16421, and also started WIN7 (like me). The product identifier is different, however, and it had a Danish version where I have an American version.

UPDATE II

Finally, I was able to reproduce this error. I know this sounds a little strange, but believe me it’s true: when I open the page using the link sent to my gmail account, I get the same error. The user from the first Refresh also used gmail to open the page.

Your Gmail link, in particular, points to a solution: Gmail removes referrer data from HTTP headers when you click on a link in an email, unless you use the right mouse button and select "Open in new tab [or window] ", presumably because it prevents capturing the headers. Is your script checking for valid HTTP REFERRER, by chance?

Are you making any cross (sub) domain or cross-protocol AJAX calls? If so, you may need a proxy request (s). Consider the following Yahoo! Developer Network: http://developer.yahoo.com/javascript/howto-proxy.html

(Un), fortunately, I could not reproduce the error in IE9, v. 9.0.8112.16421 (although I got a general error in place when I tried to load an empty .txt file, but it seems completely unrelated).

Even if you are sure that this is due to the fact that the user clicked the anchor in the letter, I would say this because of the policy settings in Internet Explorer. I have seen errors like these before, and noticed that the most common errors are related to Internet Explorer user policies in a corporate environment.
