Connection to a named pipe in Windows, different user accounts

Question

On Windows, is it possible that a program running under a limited user account connects to a named pipe created by a program running under the Administrator account, or works as a Windows Service ?

Or will I be denied access?

It depends on the security attributes used to create the channel. The creator of the pipe must use security attributes that are resolvable enough for a limited user to access the pipe.
