Can Go / jpeg image library support progressive JPEG?

At runtime (the version located in the google appengine), the package image / jpeg returns “unsupported JPEG function: progressive mode” when trying to decode a JPEG that uses a progressive format. Is this a mistake on my part? Or is this type of JPEG not yet decoded in Go?

It will be included in the upcoming version of Go 1.1.
