Firefox: How to execute a .bat file from a link?

Here I have a small intranet page that has links to "file: //". These links point to some Windows batch files. However, if I click on these links, I only see the contents of this batch file. I would rather get a Firefox dialog where I can choose between opening, saving and canceling.

Is there any way to do this?

try:

Content-type: application/octet-stream Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="myfile.txt"

he should ask you if you want to launch a bat. If the page page is intended for internal use only, it is better to try using the HTA application - it will not have any restrictions in the browser, and you can call the bit using vbscript.
